1. House Mice
House mice are usually small, grey or light brown with big ears and a thin tail. They are about 2-4 inches long. They chew wires, contaminate food, leave droppings, and can spread germs. Their breeding rate is so fast that a few can easily turn into many. Their favourite places are kitchens, pantries, garages, basements, and wall voids. Their common areas include Duval County and suburban areas such as Riverside, Southside, and Arlington.
2. Norway Rats
Norway rats are big and heavy-bodied rats with a blunt nose and small ears. They are about 7-9 inches long and brown in colour. They dig burrows, flood crawl spaces, chew pipes, wires, and spread diseases. They love to hide in crawl spaces, ground-level walls, under decks, and in burrows. They are mostly common in the Jacksonville city area near restaurants, warehouses, and older buildings.
